When I was a teenagers in school, I would wait patiently through my English class as the attendance role was being called out. During this period, I liked observing the cool girls in our class. I would admire their youthful beauty in ewe and the way they took care of themselves. It made me wonder, what made them seem so attractive to everyone else? What was their secret that most of us did not know?

Today, this secret is clear to me. It can be used no matter what age or gender you may be. This secret is timeless. It is simple, yet not always easy to achieve – The natural, dewy, youthful skin.

You do not have to always go to a fancy spa and do regular facials. By investing in good products, you will be nourishing your skin and improving your overall glow.

Step One: Cleanse + Exfoliate

Here you have two great Cleansers I personally like to use depending on my skin condition and also the season we are in. I like to switch between these two:

The iS Clinical Cleansing Complex is a little stronger and designed for acne prone skin. It targets those breakouts while preventing pores from being clogged. I like to apply this cleanser on my Sephora brush and scrub my skin with it. This way you are cleansing, but also exfoliating.

The Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser is an all-natural gentle cleanser that won’t strip away your natural oils. It is designed for more sensitive skin. I like to use this cleanser especially in winter, as my skin tends to dry a little here in LA. Sometimes I like to mix a little bit of raw honey and sugar, to exfoliate any dead skin cells.

Step Two: Peel

If you have any acne scars or hyperpigmentation, peeling masks are a great way of speeding up your cell turnover and regenerating your skin a lot quicker.

My go to mask would have to be the Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask. All you have to do is leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off.

I also like to use the Boscia peel-off mask once a month because this mask penetrates deep inside your pores. It bring out any impurities to the surface. Yes, including those black heads around the nose!

Step Three: Mist Away! (Optional)

I use these botanical mists after peeling my skin because they soothe and hydrate instantly. My personal favorites are the May Lindstorm Botanical Mist and Mario Badescu Facial Spray that contains calming aloe vera and hydrating rose water. You can also spray these on your face throughout the day to refresh your skin and makeup.

Step Four: Vitamin C Serums

If you haven’t already, I recommend investing in a good vitamin c serum in your every day skin care routine. My two favorites are the Pratima Liposomes Vitamin C Serum and the iS Clinical Pro Heal Serum (stronger). They do wonders!

This step works hand in hand with Step 2. Now that you have peeled a layer of your skin off, the vitamin C serum will penetrate deep in your skin to renew and heal your new skin. It is also a great brightening method for those acne scars!

 Step Five: Eye Cream

And…No guys…Unfortunately this step is not optional. As humans, we tend to neglect those small areas of our body. Interestingly, those are the areas that need most attention because they are very sensitive. A great example is our under-eye area. If you pinch the skin on your cheek, then the skin on your forehead and lastly the one underneath your eyes, you will notice that each of these areas feel different in terms of thickness. By now you would have noticed how thin the skin underneath your eyes is in comparison to the skin on your cheeks. That is exactly why you have to take extra care of your under-eye area. The signs of aging will first be visible there; starting with fine lines, and later developing into serious wrinkles if mistreated.

I like to use the natural Pratima Saffrom Eye Ghee at night because it is very thick, moisturizing and repairing. During the day I use the La Prairie SPF 15 Eye Cream for some protection.

Step Six: Moisturize + Protect

Finding a moisturizer that most suits your skin type is important. Whether you have dry or oily skin, this step is essential for nourishing and protecting your body’s biggest organ – your skin.

At night I prefer using something lighter and more natural like the Pai Geranium & Thistle Cream. However, during the day, I always use the Image oil-free matte moisturizer SPF 31+ to protect my sensitive skin from those harsh UVA and UVB rays that can cause premature aging. This product is great for anyone that has problems finding a non-clogging, oil-free light formula.

Step Seven: Nourishing Oil (Optional)

Although this step is completely optional, I highly recommend applying a little oil at night and going to sleep with it. I use oil on days when I don’t wear makeup and hang around the house in order to feed my skin.

Oils are rich in vitamins and minerals that will transform your skin over night. Think of it as a good nutritional smoothie for your skin.

My personal favorites are the Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil and the Living Libations Sandalwood Best Skin Ever.
